CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Abdominal Release & Hip Opening

Releasing the abdominal muscles and opening the hips allows for the torso to elongate, lower back to soften and free up the pelvic area of body.

Chest & Shoulder Release

Using the ball while supported by the wall to massage our spine and create space in our chest and shoulders. Synchronizing with our breath and micro-movements of the ball to soften and elongate, we will work towards achieving a release from upper body tightness and discomfort.

Foot Fitness

Treat your feet to a rejuvenating foot fitness session with Foot Wakers.  The Wakers help to stimulate, create space, massage and relieve your feet in this 60 –75 minute foot focused classes.  This may help your poor circulation, plantar fasciitis, and overall well being of feet.

Glute Release & Hip Opener

The focus of this class will be on opening up and releasing the piriformis and gluteal muscles, with the intention of freeing up the pressure at the base of the spine. We will compliment that work with unwinding the front of the body with an anterior hip opening release. An excellent remedy for tight hips!

Hips & Quads

The objective of this class is to create length between the leg and the hip by releasing tightness in the quadriceps and hip flexors. These muscles are often short and act in pulling the leg up into the pelvis, thus compromising the natural movement of both torso and leg. We will actively roll on the ball with the intent of regaining the full length and function of these muscles.

IT Band & Glute Release

The focus is on opening up and releasing the gluteus muscles as well as the fibrous Ilio-Tibial Band at the outside of the thigh, with the intention of freeing up the pressure from the knee to the base of the spine.

Releasing the Hamstrings

This session will utilize the ball in a supported seated position to release and elongate the hamstrings.  We will actively roll on the ball in a myofascial style to lift up the gluteus muscles and open up the sciatic area.

Rolling the Spine

In this session, using both a yellow and a red ball, we will roll to elongate the spine and create space in between our vertebrae, stretch and lengthen our neck while releasing our scapulae.  The routines will be taught using   both the wall and the floor in supported and unsupported variations.

Sideline Rib Release

For this session our intention will be to expand the breath into our sideline ribs and release the upper torso focusing on the chest and shoulders work on the floor.  Using our breath and micro-movements of the ball to soften and elongate muscle and connective tissue, we will work towards achieving a release from upper body tightness and discomfort.
